21 Reasons To Visit Antigua, Guatemala

February 22, 2018

It's here!! Finally, all the hard work, getting up before the crack of dawn to capture that perfect shot while freezing my butt off and tearing around Antigua double checking and triple checking everything has paid off. Our book is published and live! Mwah ha ha it's ALIVE I tell you.... aaallliiiiiiivvveeee!

OK enough of the creep villain voice, 21 Reasons To Visit Antigua, Guatemala is the first in what I hope will be many travel books written by David Anicetti and myself, both here in Guatemala and then Mexico, Spain and all through Europe! How exciting... squeal!

There are just so many fabulous places I want to write about and share with you I'm like a puppy chasing it's own tail in excitement.

It was a personal highlight for me and great success to help on such an amazing project that would result in a new found wonderful partnership with an experienced writer (and patient one to put up with me!)

Inside you'll find all the goodies you could ever want to know about this quaint Spanish Colonial town that I live in. And you know what? Even after 2 years I still stop and admire the beauty that surrounds me as I dawdle along the cobblestoned streets. It's hard not to. It's stunning here!

The colour, the people, the food... oh my god the food!! I can't stop eating!

Anyway it covers everything from adventure tours mountain biking along with jungle treks looking for the Resplendent Quetzal which is Guatemala's national bird, through to fine dining, spa's and world class golf courses. There's something for everyone.

Oh, and let's not forget the fabulous sticky, giggly chocolate making from bean to bar as they like to say. And of course, yes, there's coffee, coffee, coffee - after all it's Guatemala and world famous for it's coffee although I think everyone should drink tea like a civilised person (I'm now cringing waiting fot the backlash of that comment).

So get on, have a gander and share the joy of Antigua, I love it here and I hope you do too!
